Popeska - Heart of Glass (LNDN Remix)

A remix usually has to get me pretty excited to get it's own dedicated post. However, this track has met my requirements, and then some! Also, this is the first track ever uploaded to SoundCloud by LNDN, which makes this remix that much more impressive.

LNDN has taken Popeska's track Heart of Glass and de-ragified it. (Yeah, I just made that word up.) He turned it into a really groovy house track with a nice piano melody and some hi-hats replacing the massive progressive synths and blasting snares of the original. I love this more relaxed rendition. It just feels right! Check out this excellent debut track from a talented producer who is sure to do some great things in the future!

Follow LNDN on Facebook now! He has less than 100 followers, and that is not ok..

Enjoy! <3

Wildcat! Wildcat!

I would bet, upon seeing their band name, that you would not guess that Wildcat! Wildcat! sound the way they do. They have an interesting depth to their indie/electronic sound that grabbed me after hearing their EP for the first time. Try something new today and check out Wildcat! Wildcat! with me.

This 3-piece band has been able to craft their own unique sound in a world where every band kind of sounds the same. That is always an accomplishment in itself. Then these guys just happen to be really great on top of that! Their 4-track, self-titled EP that came out last year was their first release, which makes me very excited to see what they come out with this year! The first track I heard by these guys was Garden Grays. I loved the laid back, 'going for a stroll' vibe this song has. It can slap a smile on your face as you walk around town pondering life (which I know so many of you do!) Check it out below and don't stop walking until it's over.

The other song from the EP I am all about is called Mr. Quiche. I love the piano and organ intro that leads into a chilled out indie/electro beat. This song is very much on the same wavelength as the rest of the EP as well, which shows their consistency as a band and that they know what they are trying to do. Check out Mr. Quiche below!

Now let's check out one of their remixes. I love when bands dabble in producton as well and make remixes of other peoples music. This is becoming more and more common with the fusion of indie rock and electronic music. They took Haerts' lead single, Wings and pumped some life into a laid back indie rock song. Check it out below.

Elektrik People - The Lost Get Loud

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with a couple of the members of Elektrik People on multiple tours back in the day and I am really excited about this new direction they have taken their music. Their debut EP came out today and I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

The members of Elektrik People used to play in an indie rock band called War Stories. They were the first band I ever got to work with in my days of being an intern while in school. After the members of War Stories parted ways, some of the band regrouped and formed this more electronically influenced band. They were able to breathe new life into their music by simplifying their line-up and switching up their sound. The lead single off of The Lost Get Loud, called I Love My Life, had me hooked instantly. Also, as it turns out, I wasn't the only one! It was good enough to get a stamp of approval from the one and only Katy Perry on her Facebook page! Check it out below.

After hearing I Love My Life I couldn't help but get stoked to hear what they came up with next. Upon listening to their EP for the first time, the title track really stood out to me. Evan's vocals really shine on this one and I also love the 80's-esque synths in conjunction with the epic guitar during the chorus. This song has a great intensity that grabs you and doesn't let you go until it's over. Check out The Lost Get Loud below.

The last track I wanted to highlight is Painted Gold. This song definitely brings some serious sex appeal to the EP. Those massive bass lines will make you want to get to know your body a little better than you did before listening to this track. Get down with your bad self below!

Make sure to throw Elektrik People a 'Like' on Facebook while you're listening!

Melodeyes

I love how many different ways the trap genre of EDM has been explored and expanded. I feel like every month or two I experience trap in a totally new way. I think what Melodeyes is doing within that genre is really great, so I wanted shed some light on this budding producer.

His music falls on the much more chill part of the trap spectrum. He describes his music as 'melodic trap' which I think is a very accurate way to describe it. His style is less focused on the hard hitting bass that trap is associated with and more focused around beautiful melodies and sounds laid over a slower, hip hop style beat. His production quality is excellent and every song seems well thought out. Here is the first song of his that I ever heard. He remixes STRFKR's  While I'm Alive into a dreamy sea of washed out synths and rattling hi-hats and takes the track in a totally new direction. Check it out below.

He also has a couple of his own original productions. His song titled After Now shows more of his personal style, which reminds me of a mildly trapped out Teen Daze. I love the minute long intro of just a nice, soft melody that then leads into a chill beat that you can just relax and zone out to. Check it out below

Lastly, I wanted to post another amazing remix of his that I love. He put his spin on a track by Youth Lagoon, which I think is a really cool choice for him to make. He absolutely nails it. Once the guitar part kicks in, my ears enter a state of audible bliss that I find myself itching for again five minutes after the song is over. Vibe out to his remix of July below.

Throw him a Like on Facebook or follow him on SoundCloud to stay up to date on any new remixes or releases by Melodeyes!

Galantis - You

After hearing their first single, Smile, it seemed like these guys were destined to be huge. This new single definitely reaffirms that statement, and then some! Galantis can do no wrong.

Galantis is the lovechild of Christian Karlsson of Miike Snow and Linus Eklow, aka Style Of Eye. These two experienced producers coming together can only mean one thing: excellent music! This new single, titled You, is another amazing progressive house tune with beautiful keys and vocals building into a massive euphoria of bass lines and festival-ready chords. These guys obviously have a firm grasp on their sound and production style, and are sure to become rising stars in 2014. Check out You below so you can say you loved Galantis before anyone else!

Check them out on Facebook to stay up-to-date on any new releases!

Wave Racer

The past few weeks I have been seeing this name pop up all over the place. From his remixes to his originals, his sound is consistently unique, fresh and full of so much energy. Get down to some Wave Racer with me today!

Australia has always been a little bit different in terms of the producers and the music that come out of there. They always bring new sounds to the table and keep the rest of us on our toes. Wave Racer is no exception. His take on trap music is something I have never heard before. He implements a lot of colorful, high pitch synths with heavy effects on them to make them sound like an old arcade game that just smoked crack for the first time. I love how crazy yet refined each song is. I can't stop listening to it! Now it's your turn..

Here is his most recent track called Streamers. I love the choppy synths in the chorus and the various vocal samples he toys around with. Check it out below!

To touch on some of his older material, here is one of the first two tracks he uploaded to his SoundCloud page. Stoopid definitely brings that old school video game vibe that I think is so fun. There aren't many artists who can channel this sound well enough to make it seem legit while still tapping into your video game nostalgia. Props to him on nailing this track!

Lastly, I need to show off one of his awesome remixes. I posted his Flight Facilities remix on their Coachella Spotlight post last week, so that one is off the table. That leaves the other two that I love, but I can't pick a favorite so here are both of them! First is his remix of Panama's track Always that Classixx also has an excellent remix of if you remember their Coachella Spotlight post. I love Wave Racers remix just as much as the original and the Classixx version. It has brings so much life to the track that isn't there in the other mixes.

The other remix is his version of DCUP's Don't Be Shy. I love everything about this song. The anti-climactic builds, the high pitch vocal samples sprinkled throughout and the massive drops. I don't even care what the original sounds like, because this remix is so sick. Check it out

Follow him on Facebook too! Can't wait until the first time I can see him live.

Enjoy! <3

Gken-E

I celebration of getting my tickets to Lightning In A Bottle, I wanted to post a very relevant artist who brings that same great vibe to the table up on Audible Twilight. A friend of mine introduced me to Gken-E and after listening to his music for a couple days I had to post about him. This guy needs more attention! There should be more people like Gken-E in this world.

This is a direct quote from his SoundCloud bio:
"I have such an overwhelming feeling of love and joy inside my heart, I can't stop myself from smiling. My goal is to share this feeling with you through my music!"
I mean come on... how nice is that!? It helps that this guy makes such beautiful music. It is so tranquil, yet really groovy at the same time. You can tell he pours his heart and soul into every single track, and the end product is amazing. This music won't be for everyone, but if you ever need a moment to just chill and reflect or meditate while doing yoga to, this is your guy.

Here is one of his newest tracks, titled Thank You For My Friends, that really allows your mind to let go of whatever it is that is bothering you or holding you back and just relax. I love this one. So peaceful and soothing. Vibe out to it with me below

His SoundCloud page is full of amazing tracks like this one. Some other ones to check out are RadiantweART or Leveling.

He also has released a seven track album back in 2012 that is equally as great. It has that great mellow vibe, but includes some more live instrumentation, like a drum kit and guitars, as well as his signature bongos throughout. The first track off the album really sets the mood and puts you in the right place to carry through the rest of the tracks. Check out Can't Stop Smiling below.

I love how throughout the album, like on the song Ocean Calm, he throws in some samples of what sounds like clips from an educational/documentary movie about finding yourself and navigating your way through life. It adds a nice depth to his music's overall message and really gets you thinking as you sit there listening to the beautiful sounds. You can tell all Gken-E really wants is for you to be happy just being you. His passion for life spills out through the speakers and is completely infectious.

Here is one last track of his that I love. It's called Take a Minute. It has more of a bouncy, upbeat sound and has some vocals that bring even more life to the track. This one is great to listen to in the morning as your getting ready to face the day. Check it out and more on the Audible Twilight Spotify Playlist!

Like him on Facebook to see if he will be blessing your city with his presence anytime soon.

Enjoy! <3

Estiva

It has been a while since I have been on any level of my trance game, so I thought I would attempt to step that up a notch by sharing with you all this awesome Dutch producer known as Estiva.

Trance has always been a fickle genre for me. It is hard for me to find artists that I really like and that always put out good tracks. However, I do seem to think Estiva is one of those artists. I can go onto his SoundCloud or Spotify and not have to skip a single song. That is impressive to me because he has songs up from 2008. Electronic music has changed dramatically since then, yet his old tracks still sound very current. He also does a great job at not having songs that all the sound the same while also not having any weird tracks that make you raise an eyebrow in question of his producing ability.

First lets start with one of his most recent original works. Hippodrop is the Estiva song that first caught my eye. I have always liked when trance producers incorporate some ragey elements into their music. This track has a solid trance sound, but then morphs into a peak-time party song when the drop comes in to get the crowd moving. Check it out below!

Here is one of his older tracks that I can't stop listening too. This one's called Festival. I love the massively euphoric synths that remind me of sunrise at EDC Las Vegas. Such a good song to come down to. Take a listen to this one below.

Lastly I wanted to show off his remixing ability. Over the years he has put his spin on many different tracks, but I don't think he has done a better job on any of them as he did on Change The World by Daniel Kandi and Sarah Russell. This song has it all. It has those super uplifting trance chords that make you wanna scream how much you love life at the top of your lungs, then.. right as your panting for breath from all the screaming, out of nowhere comes the rage-tastic second wind that will get you GOING! Check out this excellent remix below.

It's fun to be a trance-vestite every now and then! Now go and enjoy it! <3

Prides - The Seeds You Sow EP

I have been waiting very patiently for this EP to drop. Even though it is only available in the UK, it is still up on SoundCloud for all of us to enjoy. Prides is definitely an artist to keep on your radar.

Prides is a band from Glasgow that has been generating buzz around the UK by performing at tons of radio stations doing tons of amazing covers of pop songs. Finally, we have access to their first original release The title track from the EP, The Seeds You Sow is an excellent indie/pop song that reminds me of Pompeii by Bastille. It has an infectious sing along chant in the chorus that is incredibly catchy and i love the driving percussion that goes along with it. Check out the track below!

My other favorite track from the EP is Cold Blooded. I love the more mellow intro section with the light instrumentation and the gang vocal section when the music cuts out. Then the track amps up halfway through and brings back that uplifting Prides sound that they are known for. Check it out below

Check out the rest of their music on their SoundCloud and Facebook pages. They have covers galore!

Mar - Form EP

Hot off of the success of his last single, Man x Woman, Mar is back with his new Form EP and he does not disappoint!

The first track off the EP is the smooth Ode to Her. The laid back beat allows Mar's excellent vocals to shine throughout the entire track. This new wave soul music has been coming up in a huge way over the past couple years and Mar keeps that wonderful train chugging along. Check it out below!

The other track on the EP, A Simple Go, carries the same tone and vibe as the first song, but is slightly more of a love ballad. I could see this track being a really cool thing to see in a live setting with the guitars and some vocal improvisation going on. Hopefully that will someday be a reality, but he is based out of the Netherlands so it might not be for a while.. Either way, get down to A Simple Go below!

Enjoy! <3

Coachella Spotlight #19: Flight Facilities

You know their music, but you probably don't know their name. Get familiar with Flight Facilities before Coachella!

This Australian DJ duo burst onto the scene in a big way back in 2010. Their first track was the beautiful Crave You, which you may know from Adventure Club's dubstep remix of the track which catapulted Flight Facilities into the limelight. I don't know a person that hasn't heard that remix. It was massive. So, to shed some light on a different version, I wanted to share with you all the Cassian remix of Crave You. It keeps the same tempo but has a much more funky vibe. I prefer it to the original and the Adventure Club remix. Check it out below!

My favorite track of theirs though has to be I Don't Believe featuring Elizabeth Rose. I love the production on this track. The quick guitar strumming and the constant hi-hats make this a dancefloor filler. It just makes you want to move! Check it out below.

Lastly I wanted to leave you with a cool new remix of their latest track, Stand Still, by a new producer I recently discovered called Wave Racer. This track has a very unique sound that I think is really fresh. I love the way they used the whistling over the choppy electro synths. The two sounds create a nice contrast that makes the song that much cooler. Check it out for yourself below!

Happy Coachella! <3

Rio Rio

There are few things more satisfying to me than finding a quality band. It is even sweeter when they have only released one EP and have just over 1000 fans on Facebook. Everyone, say hello to Rio Rio!

Rio Rio is an indie rock band from San Francisco, CA that has been tearing up dance floors since 2012. Their electronically influenced, uptempo sound can put some pep in your step no matter what you have going on in your life that day. They released their Light Parade EP a few months back with their track The Bashful and The Brave being the first single. Check it out below!

Every other track on their EP is equally as good and equally as fun! I recommend Gorilla Gorilla and Antoinette. They released their EP for free, which you can grab by clicking here! If you want to hear more, check out their entire EP on their SoundCloud page and don't forget to throw them a 'Like' on Facebook too.

Coasts - A Rush Of Blood

Out of nowhere I find that Coasts released a new song!? Oh, happy day!

These boys can do no wrong. They must be making good progress on their debut album if they are beginning to release more music, which makes me a very happy camper. I cannot wait to get this song on repeat all day long. Jam out to their new track A Rush Of Blood with me right now!

Also, for more Coasts, check out their last release I posted about, called Stay! Throw the boys a like on Facebook while you're at it too!

Ferdinand Weber

I think I just found my favorite deep house artist. Ferdinand Weber's music got me so excited that I had to share it with all of you!

Every single song this German puts his hands on is excellent. His sound is exactly what I look for in mellow house music. He uses beautiful piano chords, great samples that complement the overall feel of the song and he knows how to lay it all over some smooth beats in just the right way. The first track of his that I heard was Aaliyah. For this song he partners with Fabich, as he does in most of the work he has released, and the two knock it out of the park every time. Get your daily dose of good vibes from this track right now!

The other track I have to show you all is a killer remix that he did of Devil May Cry by The Weeknd. This song uses a lot of the guitar that I mentioned earlier. That, paired with The Weeknd's crooning vocals, brings a really tranquil atmosphere to the track that will instantly calm your nerves and take your mind to a better place. Listen to this remix below!

I could literally go on and on with amazing tracks of his, but I want to leave the rest up to you! If you're digging his music, go to his SoundCloud and keep the good vibes rolling! Oh, did i mention all of his music is available for FREE DOWNLOAD?? Yeah... free... get on it!

Enjoy! <3

RAC - Repeating Motion (Feat. Karl Kling)

Ever since the release of his song Let Go, I have been eagerly awaiting the next release from RAC. Today he drops a free download of his brand new track with Karl Kling called Repeating Motion!

This track is the first song he is debuting off of his upcoming album, Strangers, which will be released in two parts. The first part drops March 4th and the second on April 1st. This track totally nails that quintessential RAC sound that we have all come to know and love. His way of mixing live instruments with electronic production is very refreshing, and he does it so effortlessly. After all of the remixing he has done over the years, it is great to see him finally coming out with an entirely original project. Grab the free download of Repeating Motion on his SoundCloud, and listen below!

Coachella Spotlight #17: †††

With easily the strangest band name at Coachella this year, ††† earned themselves a spot in my Coachella Spotlight series.

†††, also called Crosses to us that speak using real words, is an LA-based trio that was formed by Deftones singer Chino MorenoFar guitarist Shaun Lopez and Chuck Doom. Today mark the release of their debut album, also called Crosses. After releasing 2 EP's instead of the band releasing a third, they decided to release an album with remastered versions of the tracks on the first EP's as well as 5 new tracks that would have made up the third EP.

Their music is definitely on the darker side. You can really hear the influence each of the three members bring along with them, especially the deftones. The first single to be released off the album is The Epilogue. This song seems more poppy than their other music, but it is still a solid chill out rock track. Check it out.

The next song of theirs I want to feature is called Telepathy. This song came off of their first EP and was one of the first Crosses tracks available on the internet. Their older music has much more electronic influence than their newer material. Check out Telepathy below

I love the way they play with the cross symbol. It is difficult to get away with using religious symbols in your art without people reacting in certain ways. I think it works so well for these guys because you go in with no idea what to expect from them, and on the flip side, what you would expect from them probably isn't even close to what they are. Since Coachella is all about new music and experiences, check them out while you're there and try something different!

Happy Coachella! <3

Coachella Spotlight #16: Anna Lunoe

Here is another artist that will be performing at Coachella that I was previously unfamiliar with but am now very much intrigued to see live this year. Get to know Anna Lunoe with me so we can party to her groovy tunes together!

Anna Lunoe is a DJ and producer from Sydney, Australia that also does her own vocals in her tracks. I have always loved when producers can also sing, or when singers can produce their own music. I think it shows how much talent they actually have when they can do everything themselves. Her sound is very house-y and fun but also slightly on the more mellow side, which is always cool with me. Her latest track, Breathe, is a perfect example of the kind of house music I am referring too. It fits perfectly with the style of music I am really into right now, so I will definitely have to check her out when I'm roaming the Polo Field grounds. Check out Breathe below!

I don't really know what to expect from an Anna Lunoe set, but if it is anything like her music then I am sure that it will be very enjoyable! Here is another track she has that features another Coachella Artist! Her track I Met You features production from Flume, so you know it will be good! Check it out below.

There is nothing like falling in love with an artist at Coachella for the first time. Maybe Anna Lunoe will be your Coachella crush this year?? I guess you will have to check her out and find out!

Happy Coachella! <3

Coachella Spotlight #15: Blood Orange

Today I wanted to shed some light on an artist performing at Coachella that I haven't heard before this morning. I don't know whether it was his name, his picture, or both at the same time that made me look his music up, but I feel like this could be a cool artist to see during the day to just kick it and watch while you hang out with your friends and try to escape the hot desert sun in the Gobi or Majove tents. Cool off and check out Blood Orange!

Blood Orange, a.k.a. Devonte Hynes, is a British singer/songwriter who has been pursuing a musical career since 2004. He dabbled in a few different bands and songwriting projects for other artists until he formed Lightspeed Champion in 2007. As Lightspeed Champion he released two alternative/indie rock albums that began to show Dev and his style off to the world. By 2009 Lightspeed Champion had gone on an indefinite hiatus, leaving Dev free to explore his musical career on his own. Then he formed Blood Orange with just him, a laptop and a guitar.

Blood Orange is much more contemporary sounding, with its soulful/80's sounding electronic beats and vocals. I really like what he has done with his new found direction. It reminds me of The Weeknd at times, but less talk about drugs and girls wanting to be naked and more self-reflective lyrics about his personal feelings or relationships.

His latest album, Cupid Deluxe, is full of groovy tunes that make me excited to see him at Coachella. The first track, Chamakay, sets the tone for the album with its subdued, whisper-y vocals, xylophone-esque synths and smooth saxophone to bring it all home at the end. Check it out below and get in the mood.

The other track that stood out to me was also the most popular track on the album, called You're Not Good Enough. This song has a strong guitar riff throughout that brings a little more life to this track compared to some of the others. I love the synths he uses to fill the space in the background. They give it that 80's vibe that is super in right now. Check it out below

Lastly I wanted to show one of his older songs that I think is great. He covered Florence + The Machine's Never Let Me Go, but left a good amount of Florence Welch's vocals in his version as he sings along side her. It is really beautiful. I can see this track never getting old, as it has so much emotion and power with its minimal beat allowing the vocals to shine. This is one of the best covers I have ever heard.

Make sure you check out Blood Orange at Coachella! You can always use a good chill-out sesh to refresh yourself for the rest of the night.

Happy Coachella! <3

Chordashian

I am still undecided on whether I like producers names that resemble celebrity names or not.. I have seen Lindsay Lowend, Com Truise, and now.. Chordashian. They do always seem to make great music though, so I guess I can't complain! If they keep pumping out quality material, then keep the silly homages coming!

The music these two New Yorkers make is exactly the kind of music I am into right now. They have a similar sound to Goldroom; who, as you all know, is my biggest producer man crush right now. I love the chill house-y vibes all of their music has. It is perfect for a cool pool party or just waking up in the morning with a smile on. Their most popular track to date is called Skyscraper Souls featuring vocals from Freedom Fry. This track is super bouncy and upbeat and makes me want to boogie! Check it out below

Their latest track, Keep On, has more of that old school house sound, with those keys that take you straight to a 12 hour beach party in Ibiza. It is one of those songs that can keep any party going, even in it was looped for 20 minutes straight. Check it out below and grab the free download on their SoundCloud!

The last track I wanted to share with you all was a great remix of theirs. I should have figured they had a remix to this, because its so perfect. It is the first track they posted on their SoundCloud two years ago, and it's still one of my favorite Chordashian tracks. Check out their remix of Penguin Prison's Don't Fuck With My Money below!

Check them out on Facebook to stay up on any new releases or remixes they post!

Coachella Spotlight #14: GTA

The EDM line-up this year is pretty on point. Goldenvoice has covered all their bases, as they included every genre from the rage-tastic Skrillex or Calvin Harris to the more mellow Nicole Moudaber or Bonobo. No matter what your fancy, you will find it somewhere at Coachella. That said, I think one of the DJs I am most excited to check out for the first time at Coachella has to be GTA.

GTA is a Miami-based collaboration between the DJs JWLS and Van Toth. These two have managed to craft a unique sound that is comprised of mostly dirty, jungle rave beats that make you dance like Tarzan would after smoking crack. They like to blur the line between trap and electro house as well which always makes for more interesting live sets. If you are trying to get buck wild for an hour in the Sahara Tent, GTA would be a good choice to do that with.

My favorite track of theirs is The Crowd. This song is going to be BONKERS in the Sahara Tent. The blaring synths, the vocal samples and the rapid fire drums make this a jungle rave banger! It also throws some half time drops in there as well to add that grime that only GTA can infuse into a track. Check it out below and put your party pants on!

GTA has also worked along side some well known names like Diplo, A-Trak and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and have remixed the likes of Kaskade, Deadmau5 and Laidback Luke to name a few. His current song with Diplo has gone completely viral over the past few months and is easily the duo's biggest release to date. However, I won't post that because if you haven't heard it before you are living under a rock. I really like their remix of Michael Woods' track Last Day On Earth, which is a highly underrated song, in my opinion. They flip the track and give it that jungle rave sound that only they could do. I hope they play this in their set!

Come get crazy with me as I go hard in the paint during their set! See you there!

Happy Coachella! <3

Coachella Spotlight #13: Leading Ladies Edition

2014 is Coachella's year of the leading lady. The line up contains a plethora of solo female vocalists, some you know very well, and some you do not. In honor of this insurgence of leading ladies, I wanted to briefly touch on some of these performers that I think people should go see at Coachella this year.

1. Ellie Goulding

She has been on my to-see list for quite some time now. Ellie is absolutely amazing and her live show, I have heard, is just as stunning. Her voice translates very well into a live setting and her music is all the more powerful when blasted out to thousands of people. The song I am most excited to see of hers has to be JOY. I know its a softer, more emotional song, but I absolutely adore it. I am not sure if it is a song that makes it into her live sets or not, but I will be crossing my fingers that she slows things down for a minute to play this one.

2. Lana Del Rey

She is another female vocalist that I cannot wait to see this year at Coachella. I know she always kills her live performances. They may not be the most lively of sets, but it will be really nice to just hang out and watch her do her thing. She has so many huge tracks, from Young & Beautiful to Video Games, that I am sure the crowd will be singing along with every word in every song. The one I am most excited to see is definitely Off To The Races. I love it because it is one of the few LDR songs with a really awesome beat. A lot of her music is focused around her voice and has little to no percussion at all, so this track will be our chance to get a little dancing in during her set.

3. Lorde

There really is nothing left to be said about Lorde. She is fantastic. Being only 17 and having an incredible voice made her an instant star. After releasing Royals she has seen nothing but success and adoration around the world. Her set is easily one of the most highly anticipated sets of the festival, as it is very rare we get the chance to see her due to her mass popularity. I expect her set to be one of the most crowded stages of the weekend. Since I am sure you all know every Lorde song inside and out, I wanted to show my favorite remix of one of her tracks. FFFRRANNNO flips one of her older tracks, Bravado, into a really great mellow trap tune that I have been listening to for about a year and still can't get enough of. Check it below.

4. Banks

I posted about Banks a couple months back, introducing her music to you all. She is a very up and coming artist and has just recently been gaining a lot of attention around the blogosphere. Her soft voice matched with dark, mellow beats creates a very unique sound that sets Banks apart from other solo female acts. It's definitely not music I can listen to at any time, but when it is the right time, it is perfect. Her latest song, Brain, which was produced by Shlohmo, another artist that will be at Coachella this year, is sure to make her setlist. Do yourself a favor and check out Banks this year and see something new!

5. HAIM

I had to throw HAIM on this list because they aren't just one leading lady, they have three leading ladies! This all girl band is a must see at Coachella this year. After releasing their breakout single Forever, these three sisters had nowhere to go but up. They released their debut album last September, which has earned them a spot at every major festival this season. Their fun, upbeat indie rock jams are sure to kill it at Coachella this year. I can't wait to see them perform Falling, although I know it won't matter what songs they play, because they are all so good! Definitely check them out.

Dog Is Dead

I know it's going to be a good day when I find a new band from the UK. If I lived anywhere else but Southern California I would probably be trying to move to the UK as soon as possible.. but I'm spoiled with my 70 degree winter days. However, I love all the music they create over there, and Dog Is Dead is no exception!

Dog Is Dead released their debut album, All Our Favorite Stories, in the UK back in October of last year and has been gaining the band more and more traction as the months go on. Unfortunately for us poor souls on this side of the Atlantic, it is not released on any american labels. Hopefully it will be someday, because this album is amazing. The thing I love most about it is that their alternative/indie rock sound is well refined, as they have been playing together for over 4 years now, but still has that slightly unpolished, garage-y vibe to it. And, they use some wicked saxophone in some of their songs which adds yet another point to their coolness factor.

I honestly do not even want to pick a favorite song, because the album is so good as a whole. I'm really sad it's not on Spotify.. so SoundCloud will have to suffice. Please take some time to listen to their whole album. You will thank me later! Check out All Our Favorite Stories below!

Follow the boys on Facebook to stay up to date with everything they get into this year! I am sure 2014 will be a big year for Dog Is Dead.

Coachella Spotlight #12: Flume

I knew Coachella would be jumping on the Downtempo train, as that obscure genre has seen massive growth over the past year. They made an excellent choice adding Flume to the line up! I am sure his set will be one of the most interesting DJ performances of the festival.

This Australian-based producer got his biggest break from his remix of Disclosure's You & Me that blew up on the blogosphere last year. This song is massive. The string samples and the huge bass in the drop makes this a certified banger. I can't wait to see how it sounds in the Sahara tent with it bumping! Check it out below

After to getting to know his music more, I found some other really awesome tracks by Flume. He released his deluxe edition self-titled debut album last year and it was definitely one of the coolest electronic album releases of 2013. His unique production style and heavy use of sampling gives the album a really cohesive sound and sets it apart from your typical EDM album. He also grabs some awesome features from the likes of How To Dress Well, Ghostface Killah, Jazzabelle Doran and T-Shirt to name a few. My favorite tracks from the album include: Sleepless, Change, Space Cadet, and Warm Thoughts. Check out these tracks on our Spotify Playlist!

I also learned that Flume is one half of another awesome production duo that I have been a fan of called What So Not. I had no idea Flume, alongside Emoh Instead, was behind that as well. I am sure some What So Not music will be featured in his Coachella set. They run along a similar vein as Flume, but a little more trappy and upbeat than Flume's solo work. Check out their track Touched below and see what I mean!

Come check out Flume at Coachella with me this year! I promise you won't regret that decision.

Happy Coachella! <3

Bipolar Sunshine - Where Did The Love Go

As I'm sure you have already noticed... I love Bipolar Sunshine. He just released his latest single called Where Did The Love Go and you all need to hear it!

Something about his voice and the music in all of his songs resonates with me. He always seems to capture the perfect vibe for the subject matter discussed in the lyrics. I could see this song being awesome performed live too; ending with an awesome crowd clap as the music fades out at the end of the song and he keeps singing "I see you calling but you don't even know my name." Too perfect. I would have been on cloud nine if he made the cut for Coachella this year. But, there is always next year! I'll be crossing my fingers until next January. Until then, I'll just keep listening to his new song!

Enjoy! <3
