I stumbled onto this guys
SoundCloud page this morning and saw that he listed 'Tropical House' as the genre for his tracks/remixes and instantly knew I had found something I would like. Thomas Jack is a electronic producer from Australia that relocated to Miami to pursue his music career.
His sound has that very laidback house vibe with a tropical twist that takes you straight to your happy place. I have been seriously digging this style of music this year and couldn't be more pleased with this find. If you are a fan of

Benjamin Francis Leftwich that has been topping the Hype Machine charts lately!

His remixes really show off his style, but his originals are equally as good! It seems like his originals are abit more club oriented while his remixes are more for listening pleasure, or at least for a different setting than a nightclub. The original mixes have stronger bass lines but retain the tropical-sounding melodies that Thomas Jack is known for. Here is one that stood out to me the most.
This style of house music is definitely still emerging and growing, but I am very excited to see more artists like this that will continue to progress the music and hopefully begin to steal more listeners from the big room, electro-house craze like it did to me.
